How to import Word index markers into ID 14.02

Hi all,

I am importing a Word doc(over 100 pages) that has index markers and an index into InDesign 14.02 (latest CC).

In the index panel, the index entries are there. But, there is no corresponding InDesign index marker.

How do I import the index markers from Word?

Thanks,

Sean

Correct answer Laubender

Option "Index Text" should do.

And that is marked according to your screenshot.

Have you selected "Show Import Options" when selecting the Word file? You should be able to import the markers through that dialog box. Are you saying it is not working?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using import options but don't see an index marker import switch. Thoughts?
