How to install InDesign 2015 onto my new Macbook Pro using Ventura?

I have for years been using Smart Stream Designer plug in with InDesign.  I just updated my Macbook and it is running Ventura.  I have hundreds of templates set up in InDesing that utilize Smart Stream Designer for Variable Data and Imposition.  Trouble is, I cannot seem to get HP to sell me a new version of Smart Stream that will work with InDesign 2023.  The last version I bought works with InDesign 2015.  I see it's possible to install older versions of InDesing but the list does not go back as far as 2015.

Is there any way I can install InDesign 2015 onto my computer so I do not loose all my templates?

On Venture you can't do this; upgrading your system when you need ancient software is not a good idea with a Mac, they work hard to block old apps. You need to compromise either on the version of InDesign or on the system you run. Consider dual boot.

I was afraid that would be the case.  I may have to bite the bullet and buy something new.  Maybe Datamerge pro or XMPie.  Just hate to have to set up all those templates again.  Maybe I'll get lucky and someone out there will see my post and know someone at HP that will be willing to sell me an updated vresion of SmartStream.  Knowing HP probably not though.  Thank you for your reply.

The only constant with software is that it gets outdated. 😛

You're likely to run into all kinds of problems if you try, but there's nobody here that can help you with something that old. Contact Adobe and see if they can help you with an installer for it but your beef is with HP here. If they haven't updated this in eight years, it might be time to look elsewhere for that functionality.

I think HP does have at lease a 2021 version updated.  Unfortunatly, unless you buy an Indigo from them, they don't want to talk to you.  I have tried for hours to get in touchwith someone to talk about buying it, but to no avail.  I have sent contact by email messages to sales departments and support departments, but never get a reply.  I just thought if I can't get them to sell me an update, maybe I could install the older version of InDesign and just use the version I have.  Thanks for the reply.

If it's that difficult to deal with them, I'm going to stick to my last piece of advice...find an alternative. You'll just face this issue again at some point, anyway.
