How to move an object page by page

Hi,
in InDesign I need to make a small stroke move from page to page. This stroke will start on a page in the left-hand corner and as you get to the final pages of the book the stroke will move to the right. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it possible to automate it? Do you know any scripts?

It would be great if this line could be aligned automatically.
