Is there an easier way to insert pages from one InDesign file to another InDesign file, rather than copy and paste? Is there a script for this?

Correct answer Peter Spier

Open both files and use the "Move Pages" command from the Pages Panel menu in the source doc.

I had some problems if I wasn't moving a full spread (single pages + spreads), but when I moved full spreads it worked perfectly. I'm not sure how this deals with master pages with the same name, but I had identical master pages with the same name in source and destination and saw no issues.

It only shows up as a single page instead of a part of a spread?

Hi tesselt95766602 ,

I would suggest that you show the result as screenshot.

Use the forum's controls to add one.

You might have Allow Page Shuffle unchecked in the Page Panel of your target document.

Uwe

Thanks worked perfect! I've been using InDesign for a long time, but never really had to do this because

only had to copy and paste maybe one page in the past, not a mulitple page document, until now.

You might also want to look at making a Book, which allows you to combine multiple documents "virtually" without having to move any pages at all.
