I'm trying to view this menu in InDesign—currently it's hidden (all I can see are my pages) and I can't figure out how to get it to show.

This can happen but I'm not sure it is the issue for you because I don't see the lighter horizontal line.

If this doesn't work, restart InDesign. If that doesn't do it, try rebuilding your cache and preferences. Doing so will solve the weird little things that InDesign does when these files are corrupt, and the link below explains both the keyboard technique (which works most of the time) as well as the more thorough approach to deleting (or renaming) your cache and preferences, which tends to resolve the more stubborn issues not rectified by the keyboard approach.
