How to quickly extract a line as a title and use a new text framework

Well, it's exceedingly simple, but simply selecting that minor head and clicking a style such as 'BigSpanHead' to change the style would seem to do it, without any need for scripting or complex automation.

One paragraph style is simply bolded/spaced text; the latter would use Span Columns with space above and below, plus any tweaks like rules above or below, or a border.

What do you see as needing a more complex approach? (You do not need to, and should not, break the text into multiple frames for this kind of layout; use the tools that preserve a single text flow and all its advantages.)
