Question

How to re-install inDesign? I keep getting stripey images and I need a fix for this asap.

I'm placing 300dpi cmyk jpgs. They look fine when placed.

The problem happens when I re-open the file. Nothing has changed, but the images are striping.

What's happening?

Would a re-install of inDesign fix this issue?

Where are the images stored?  Are you on a Mac?

No, my images are full color. What appears is a small version of the image that appears in the upper left of the picture box, and the rest of the picture box is filled with full color vertical stripes. The links are all OK, but sometimes I get a message about an image not being found, even though nothing is missing.

Some images in the thread I linked to are also color images.

Can you post some screenshots that illustrate the issue. Also, where did the images originate? In addition, did you try the workarounds listed in that thread, and if so, did it make any difference?

The only guess I have is that you're on a Mac and have GPU Performance enabled. Turn it off.

If that's not it, give us screenshots and system details.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.
