Question

How to rotate part of my project in Indesign 180 degrees

Half of my project will be technically upside down so on that half I want to rotate the entire project while working on that half. Is there a global command for that ? I understand rotating elements etc but not the entire project. Guess I missed something along the way ?

As noted, this is a year-old topic.

That said, it sopunds very much like this discussion from the other day, which has some excellent strategies for doing a book that is half "upside down." https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-want-to-make-a-double-sided-booklet/m-p/13080347#M484936

Can you make a group with all layers included? If so I would select all layers . Right click and see make group from layers. Then I would duplicate the group. And turn off the original group. Then flatten the new group. Select the section you would like to flip and use file / rotate image.

Hi mkelly1954,

InDesign CS6 version 8 and above:

[A] You could rotate pages with contents. Important: that will not rotate the view on a spread but actually rotates pages and all the objects on a page. How? Select the pages you want to rotate in the Pages panel, switch to the Page tool and use the Transform panel to set rotation angle and reference point.

Rotate the page and its contents back when done.

[B] You could rotate the view on a spread.

Select the spreads you want to rotate the view with in the Pages panel.

Go to options: Page Attributes > Rotate Spread View >

Do "Clear Rotation" with Rotate Spread View when done.

You can select all the elements on each page and rotate the whole selection.

Can you please tell me how you do that?

@Bogdan5EBC ,

to rotate a selection of objects use e.g. the Transform panel.
