How to stop numbered list from indenting new row

I have a numbered list but for wide numbers like 222 there is a big indentation but for narrow numbers like 111 there is no indentation. How can I either increase the indentation for the narrow numbers to match that of the wide numbers? Or reduce the indentation for the wide numbers?

Increase the paragraph indent, then increase the first-line 'outdent' (negative indent) until you have consistent space between the number and the text. There are three settings that apply:

  • The left indent of the text;
  • The outdent of the first line;
  • The first tab setting, which normally should be a left-aligned tab at the same setting as the indent.

  1. Increase the intent.
  2. Use numbers for tables to get equal width numbers.
