Question

How to update Data from .csv into spreads?

Hello everyone 😃
I have a problem after mergin and updating data from .csv files.
What I have is a merged document with a spread as Master Page. But right page has a different layout then the left. Also data is being used on both left and right.

The problem: when I try to update data in the cells – right pages and also insterted images (that use @placements from .csv as well) disappear. It breaks my heart as I already have a 500+ leaflets using csv -file. Some of the fields been updated by the client and I have no idea which ones... So do I have to start everything from the beginning or there is a way to fix the problem?

Thank you in advance 😃

Based on your screen recording, it's pretty clear you are using InDesign and Data Merge.

Can you upload your sample files with data?

Yes. It's InDesign v 17.3 and Data Merge.
Linked 3 files - .csv and 2 intial InDesign documents.
I used Merge on Master page "DataMergeUpdate.indd" and the result is "DataMergeUpdate-1.indd" (where I plan to update data from cells of .csv).
