Hyperlinks not working

Hiya - So I have a document with many hyperlinks that link to an anchor or a website.

Unfortunatley these are not working. I did a test document - and when I made a new link - I was able to link the to page I need. However I am not able to change the link with the documents text.

Any idea how to fix?

I am attaching an indesign + Pdf - Youl will see that the link works on the lower text - but not on the underline text. This occurs many times thoughout the document so I am hoping for a fix for all fo them.

Hi Melanie,

First I tried Export to IDML and re-open the IDML to save-as a fresh INDD document. That didn't work.

Next, I copied the text to a fresh text frame. That didn't work.

Lastly, I deleted that whole phrase and re-typed it. That seemed to work fine. Afterward I could apply a new hyperlink to the text.

Hi Melanie,

In your example INDD document, you have not built a hyperlink for the underlined text at the top. The Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks panel shows only one hyperlink; not two.

Thanks for the reply - It seems I didnt explain the issue properly - when I try and put the hyperlink in the hyperlink pane - it wont accept it (for lack of a better word) - I've tried lots of times - so it seems something has come in with the text so perhaps I need to delete the info thats already there and then put the hyperlink in - but not sure how.
