Hyperlinks not working after sending as text

Hi, the PDF I'm working on has a link to a website that works on desktop and mobile when sent by email but when sent by text it doesn't open the website on mobile. After searching the problem I found multiple answers to a similar problem where it was not a true link but the adobe program recognized it anyway but this is not the problem I am having if I open the pdf in acrobat and click view weblinks it shows the full URL. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Did you set up the hyperlink in the hyperlin panel? Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks
  2. Only Acrobat supports all PDF functionality, all other PDF readers support PDFs only partial. If you have a problem with a specific reader, you should turn to their developers.
  3. If Acroabt detects hyperlinks auotmaitically if no hyperlink is set up as mentioned in 1, it is set up in its preferences.
