Question

I can't remove the footer title next to the page numbering

I am inexperienced in using InDesign, I don't have much knowledge. I downloaded this template and while editing, I can't remove the bottom part next to the page number. I can't select it, and when I add a new page, it comes with numbering and this title.

Hi @danielpedrosaa:

Take a look at your Pages panel, visible on the right side of your screen shot. A gray horizonal line divides the panel into two sections: the top contains the parent pages (previously called master pages) and the bottom contains the body pages. In InDesign, the parent pages hold the repeating information like the headers and footers and page numbers, and the body pages hold the content that changes from page to page.

In your screenshot, body pages 2 and 3 are active, and you can see a little A in the top corners of the thumbnails, indicating that they are controlled by the A-Master parent page. To modify the repeating content, double click on the words A-Master to navigate to the parent pages, and then you will be able to edit the content. When you are finished, double click the – between pages 2–3 to return to those two pages.
