I have setup page numbering to be lowercase Roman numerals, but are being displayed capitalized

I have setup page numbering to be lowercase Roman numerals, 

but are being displayed capitalized:

How might I get the lower case dispay?

    Is it possible you have a different Case selected in your paragraph or character style settings?

      Thanks.  The issue was indeed forcing caps in the Paragraph Style:

       

      I changed it to Normal, and the Roman numerals now appear in lower case.
