I know that Adobe will not support any TT fonts next year, but will OTF non-Adobe fonts be supported?

Only Type 1 fonts will be unsupported. Truetype and OpenType will be supported regardless of the source.

Adobe Apps will support RR and OTF. Only T1 is finished as no OS is supporting them in the future. The font developer does not matter, every font is welcome.
