ID 19:3-läuft sehr schlecht

Nach dem update auf 19.3 läuft ID stellenweise sehr schlecht. Auf meinem MAC wird z.B. beim Fenster "Zeichen" poppt kein Fesnster mit den Fonts auf. Oder nur gelegtlich und dann lässt es sich nicht meht schließen. Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass dies so gewollt ist.

If the suggestions provided by @Eugene Tyson don't help:

 

You mentioned that the problems started after updating to 19.3. Did you update from an earlier version of InDesign 19? If so, try to revert to an earlier version (you can do so from the Creative Cloud app). If it does solve the issues, then at least you'll know they're indeed somehow related to 19.3. Report back here then.

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
