ID stops responding when you accept a PDF comment

I've imported PDF comments in to the doc, which is working fine. I've got the comments window open and I'm hitting the accept/resolve button when I'm actioning feedback, but ID just stops accepting any input in to that text box.

For example, if the comment is to add a comma, then I hit accept, press the , key and nothing happens. Repeatedly pressing does nothing, clicking off and back in multiple times, is the only way I can then get a , in to the text box. It's completely unresponsive.

And it's not just this doc i'm working on, it's been happenng for so long now, it's infuriating.

On a Mac, everything up to date. Has anyone got any fixes for this?

I appreciate that you have everything up to date - but is not information we can digest.

What OS (version and number) ? What version of InDesign (version number)?

It's not really a feature I use, to be honest.

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
