Idea: Improve speed to edit large catalog files

My catalog files are quite large and looking for a way to edit the file quickly. It can take some time to make simple text changes.

Hi @MAX2025_Ideas,

 

I understand how working with large catalog files can get slow at times. Try setting your InDesign Display Performance to Typical or Fast Display from the View menu and see if that improves the responsiveness. Also, please make sure your linked images are optimized and not unnecessarily large, as that can affect performance.

Could you share which version of InDesign and OS you're using, and let me know if this slowdown happens with all catalog files or just a particular one? A short screen recording showing the lag would also help me check it further with the team.
