Image hi-quality preview while dragging: lo and hi-res simultaneously

When you click, wait half a second, then drag an item, ID displays a high quality preview while dragging, not just the usual frame outline when dragging. This is convenient for placing items accurately viusually.
When it works. When doing this with a AI vector image inside the image container, ID shows both a high- and low resolution composite simultaneously.
Why.
I just can‘t.
Please fix.
