Question

Images display broken image signs when published online

Adobe Indesign 19.4

MacBookPro 2020
macOS Sonoma 14.5

I want to publish my Portfolio with Indesign Publish online, but first some images showed as broken, then some others, now all images are show as broken. It doesn't matter if I change the image quality while publishing, or publish from a more stable and higher Internet Connection, nor when I publish from a folder on my computer instead of from Dropbox.

I just cannot get the images to show.

I've read all the fora contributions on the topic of images not showing when the document is published online, but none of it seems to solve my issue.

Any help in any direction?

I have the same problems when updating an existing document. All the links in my InDesign document are correct and everything is displayed properly when I publish it for the first time. After making changes in InDesign, I have to re-upload it several times until it is displayed correctly again. My document is password protected, maybe the bugs are caused by this?
I use the same InDesign Version as Monica but on Windows 10.

This is not a feature that I use but since you're trying to use it for your portfolio are you aware that your subscription includes a free Adobe Portfolio website which, IMO, would show you in a far more professional light. Adobe Portfolio | Build your own personalized website

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
