Import Failed

Every time I try to place new images in my previous InDesign files, there is an import failed message. Was working fine before the update, but now it will not work. Huge inconvienence, any resolutions? Thanks!

P.S. Yes, I have tried restarting. Placing files. Dragging an image. No, I will not have the ability to remake all 100+ InDesign files from scratch.

I would suggest restoring your InDesign preferences which often solves problems of this kind:

Me too. Tried the solution and it didn't help.
I'm trying to work on a few pages from an old document. I used Move Pages to put them in my new document. I had a bunch of link errors on my images. Tried to relink, Import Failed. Tried to just import, Import Failed. Images are fine, files are fine. Error message gives me no clue.

Hi,

I've been having this problem, particularly with photos from my iPhone. For me, the reason was the color profile setting of the images.
