Import master page to multiple documents using a script?

Question

I make a lot of different documents that all have the same footer (on a master page) but every now and again something has to change on the footer and I have to go back and change every document individually. I have recently learned that you can import master pages into documents. I was wondering if there was a script that I could use to import a new master page with all the changes made, to all the documents in a folder?

This would make my life a lot easier, and i would be very grateful if someone could help.

Eaasiest way is to put all the documents in a book. Dissable auto numbering and use the synchronise options to synchronise the documents. There should be a write up of this: https://indesignsecrets.com/synchronize-multiple-indesign-documents.php
