In Adobe InDesign, why is the text highlighted even though it disappears when I overview it?

Correct answer Steve Werner

The pink highlighting in InDesign indicates that the original font is missing. The words still displays but it may not look as the font was designed.

Go to Type > Find/Replace Font and you'll see an indicator of a missing font that needs to be replaced.
