In Design Data Merge Not Working

I’m trying to make name tags (90 on a page) with In Design data merge but instead of putting the data on the same page, it creates a new page for every entry instead. I’ve tried adjusting the margins and it’s set to multiple records, does anyone know how to make it so that all the data merges onto one page?  Been looking at posts/videos for a few hours and I haven't seen anything that resolve this.

Beyond Euygene's suggestion, and without seeing anything of your template, I have a strong suspicion you have more on the page than just the objects required for making the name tag.

I think inevitably when multiple records per page fails it's because there is insufficient space on the page to fit more than one instance of EVERYTHING.
