InCopy on the web (Beta) - Collaborator Access Not Working

I've just been trying the InCopy on the web (Beta). I sent an invite to someone and assigned them a text box as a collaborator to test amending the copy. However, they are saying it comes up with "You don't have access to this file". They have made an account with the same email address and are using Google Chrome. Does anyone know why it is saying they don't have access and what I can try to fix it?

I'm a designer who has created an incopy web link for a collaborator to change copy. He is saying that none of chis changes were reflected. And I did not receive a notification that any copy has changed. I also do not see locked stories in indesign while i have the document open.

The file is on my cloud so it should be syncing. I am using chrome and version 21.0 version of InDesign. My collaborator does not have an adobe subscription, but the beta web incopy feature shouldn't require that. He had to create a name and email.

Hi, my coworkers are getting the same error message. It is happening to some not all. It's so weird.

Hi @robin_2660,

Thanks for writing to us. Can you please confirm if your coworkers have created a free Adobe ID with their same email address which has been added in the Share panel. Please try refreshing the page in Chrome after verifying the email address on Adobe Account portal. We can accordingly investigate via a remote connect session in case the issue persists.

Have a pleasant day!

Thanks,

Nayan

My collegue is able to get to the page to edit copy but the workspace stops at 74% and stays there.

Cannot for the life of me get this to work either.

It gets stuck loading the 'environment' on Google Chrome at 27% for me, and at different percentages depending on who's computer you're trying to open the link from.

It worked ONLY once with a colleague, but then subsequent attempts from her failed, so we have no way of knowing why it worked that one time, and we therefore can't test it to find out why.

Can't seem to edit messages on here either!

Anyway the above is my colleague logging in, and viewing the file, typing some edits in then trying to accept those edits, then it crashes / bring sup an error message.

Hi @Emma263523018i1j,

Thanks for sharing the details! Could you check if the invite was accepted from the same email you sent it to? Also, ask them to try the basics like opening the link in an incognito window in Google Chrome to rule out any browser cache issues. Moreover, try the issue in a different browser and confirm.

If the issue persists, try removing them as a collaborator and re-inviting them. Let me know how it goes. Looking forward to your update.

Hi, It was the same email, and they tried in incognito and other browsers. I also tried removing them and re-inviting them. Unfortunately, none of these worked. Do you have any other ideas to try? Many thanks for the help.

Hi @Emma263523018i1j,

Thanks for trying those steps. I’m checking this internally with the product team to get some confirmations on this issue. I’ll update you as soon as I hear back from them. Appreciate your patience!
