InD 2022 Mac: Issue in footnote when it is exceeding 9

I am working on a book using InD 2022 Mac.  I noticed when footnotes exceeding 9 (I see the issue in footnote 10, 11, 12, etc.) the font that I use "Sakkal Kitab" has an odd aspect... Cf. the attached document.

 

Actually, letters dots are displaced to left or to right sides, etc.

I canceled a footonote before 10 and the footnote 10 becomes 9. The issue disappears!

I noticed the issue with only the font "Sakkal Kitab", when I change the font I have not this issue.

I contacted the font designer but I believe that's something to do with Indesign too.

    • The OS and the InDesign version.
    • Is it possible for you to share the font file with us so that we can check at our end?
    • Could you please try using any other Arabic font and share the results with us?

    OS: 11.6.6

    InD: 17.2

    We should have the same issue if we use Adobe Naskh.

    I believe you can reproduce the bug with any text and when using Adobe Naskh

    Thanks for sharing the info. Would you mind checking if you've any pending InDesign updates available on the Creative Cloud desktop? If yes, please update InDesign and let us know if that helps.
