INDD file to PDF Interactive

Hello, I have more than 1700 INDD files, and I want to convert them into Interactive PDFs, but unfortunately, Batch Converter takes 30 minutes for each file, so the project is taking a lot of time. Is there another method?

Hi @aghanjar16430960 ,

can you tell more about the contents (long tables? included images?), the number of pages that are involved in your 1700 INDD files?

It's more than unusual, that a single InDesign file is about 350 MB and that it takes about 30 min to export to PDF.

Maybe we can help to optimize your content so that InDesign's PDF export is optimized speed wise as well.

 

Also do the export on a fast machine with plenty of RAM ( 32 GB minimum ) and a SSD internal drive with 100 GB free space as source for your InDesign files and also as target for your PDFs. Have no other apps than InDesign open if possible.

    File with 350 MB and when I use a Script ( Batch convert ) it take more than 30 MIN for each one

    Robert asked how long it takes when you export an indd manually.

    And which batch converter do you mean? There are several.
