Kun muunnan InDesign työni PDF -muotoon, jää PDF:stä pois taustalla oleva, osin läpinäkyvä, kuva ?

(Liitteenä, kuvina ko. ongelma)

When I look at your screen captures here on my monitor your background shadow type is showing in both, but it is very faint in the one where you think it is “missing” which makes me think this is not an issue with visibility or print settings, nor of transparency flattening. That changing the size corrected it also argues to my mind that it is a bug.

When I look at your screen captures here on my monitor your background shadow type is actually visible on both images, but it is very faint on the one where it is “missing” so I doubt very much it is actually related to any sort of flattening or visibility setting. That changing the size corrected the problem also seems to me to point to a bug.

… For some reason, when I changed the transparent logo size to a smaller one, it worked as it should even when converted to PDF.🤔

    Hi @TL-3535

Thanks for the update, and glad to hear resizing made a difference.

To look into this further, could you please share the affected InDesign file with the transparency applied? Please package the file via File > Package before sharing. You can use any file sharing service like Google Drive or Dropbox and share the link here.

Also, it would help if you could share screenshots of your PDF export settings so we can review them.

    Looking forward to your update.

When you are using transparency, you want a few things to be the way you operate.

    1. Place only RGB images (like .PSD files) onto the InDesign document page.
    2. Set the InDesign document to be RGB: Edit > Transparency Blend Space > RGB

Now test and export to PDF/X-4

If you build the background image on a layer named Background, you can turn off the visibility of that layer just before you export to PDF. The image will not show in the PDF.

    Hi @TL-3535

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry that you’re running into this issue. Could you please confirm the exact InDesign version and your OS details? Also, it would really help if you could share a screenshot of your PDF export settings, specifically the General and Advanced tabs, so I can review how the file is being exported.

In the meantime, please try exporting using the PDF/X-4 preset and make sure the compatibility is set to Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) or higher. Also, in the Advanced tab, set the Transparency Flattener to High Resolution and export again.

If the issue still persists after this, please let me know which PDF viewer you’re using to open the file, whether it’s Adobe Acrobat or another viewer, and also confirm if this happens with a specific file or across all files.

Let me know how it goes after trying this. Looking forward to update.

Also check if the Print Layer option is enabled in the layer settings.
