Hey guys,

recently bought a new laptop, the XPS 15 with the following specifications: XPS 15 9560 High Performance Laptop with InfinityEdge Display | Dell United States

- 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ Quad Core Processor

- 16GB, 2400MHz, DDR4; up to 32GB
- 500GB SSD

- 4K TouchScreen

- NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 with 4GB GDDR5

And when I for example am working on a datasheet with just 1 page, Display performance is on normal it still takes up to 2 seconds to enter a textfield, or when I delete a few words, the textfield goes blank (while there still is text inside) and only after I scroll/zoom the text reappears.

Is this something that has to do with 4K? Because you'd think Adobe has been following the 4K trend right? Does anybody know?

Rest of the laptop is fine, specifically Indesign, AI doesnt have this problem as of now.

EDIT; tried downscaling to 1080p, it helps a bit but still, when I work on text and after that click on a table for example, the whole UI seems to need 2-3seconds to ''switch'' to the tools required for table editing from the type editing...is this normal for a powerful CPU like this? even word seems to work faster

Had a similar issue, Dell XPS 15 9570. Change your display settings on windows to display at 100%, 150%, or 200%. Seem to fix the issue for me.

My XPS 15 is a slightly older model but very similar specs. I seem to remember having that problem.

I did a complete uninstall, first with the normal uninstaller and then with the Adobe CC Cleaner tool.

Then a fresh install seemed to do the trick.
