InDeisgn document not loading properly

Hello,

I am working on an indesign document that I have created using a purchased template. I have been working on this a bit each day and I am too invested to restart. When I open my document, the pages are not loading properly or are missing design elements. Every time I open the document different elements are missing, some remain the same but it is not necessarily the same missing items each time I reopen the document. I have restarted my laptop, updated InDesign, reset preferences and essentials etc. I am stummped! I am up aganst a tight deadline to finish this document however, I am having trouble editing this when I cannot view the "actual" document fully.

The photo uploads are examples of what I able to see compared to what should be on the document. Every time i scroll to the page, it appears differently.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do that.

File > New and uyse the same document setup specifications as you have in the original. Rename the A Parent page to something you didn't use in the original file so it won't be substituted when you move your pages.

In the original file open the Pages Panel, select all the pages, and from the panel menu choose Move Pages...

In the dialog that opens, choose the new blank file you just created, choose Before Page 1, and click OK

In the new file delete the last page (whaich was Page 1 before y9ou moved the other into the file). Save wwith a new filename so you don't overwrite your original file.

I think I may be onto something. So I applied bevel and emboss to many of the items featured on my original document and when i remove those attributes, everything goes back to the way it needs to be. I think it may be an issue with that feature. I have removed that design element from my document and have since been able to move past this issue. Thank you, Peter for all your help today.

Attached is what the document should look like. Saving .idml and then reopening and saving as .indd did not work either. Bummer!

With Kind Regards,
Betsy

...also, do you have this issue with any other document or only this one?

All your screenshots seem to be identical...

That aside, try an export to .idml,. then open that and save as a new .indd file.
