InDesgin duplicate files in Onedrive

Multiple users are saving and using files located in a Sharepoint site. This is synced through to File Explorer and these multiple users are using the files inside but upon saving the files are left with names like

Spirits

Spirits-Machine1

Spirits-Machine1-Machine1

I found a previous article mentioning InDesign struggles with Cloud platforms - https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/onedrive-locked-files-and-multiple-users/m-p/12048691 
I was wondering if this is still the case or if there's something we're missing here.
