Indesign 14.0.2 - hold shift and move object not working

I did the Indesign update yesterday. Did not notice anything till this morning. Sometimes when working on some files I need to move an object and want to move it in a perfect straight line from its position. Normally I would hold shift and move with the mouse. This would lock it on a straight line path either up and down or left and right. Since the update this no longer works.

Is this a feature I now need to turn on somewhere or a glitch in the latest update? It is annoying to get an update and the only different I notice is something no longer works as it should.

Am I stuck right now without this feature till Adobe fixes it and updates??

This is on a Mac with Indesign 14.0.2

thanks

Rebooting did work. The next step I was going to do was trashing the preferences. All running as it should now, thanks!

You could also try resetting preferences. Set preferences in Adobe InDesign

    Hi wonderings1111:

I'm on a Mac (10.14.4) and InDesign CC 14.0.2 and not having that issue. Have you tried rebooting the computer, only opening InDesign and trying again? Sometimes other applications interfere with the modifier keys.

I did restart the application, I will give the computer a reboot and see if that does anything when I am not in the middle of things.
