InDesign 15.0.2 - Previous saved workspaces no longer work

My saved workspaces are not working with this update. I started rebuilding them and didn't think I'd have any trouble getting back to what I use for specific jobs. The worst part is I can't customize my toolbox/toolbar anymore. No menu options, preferences, or key combos are letting me change it. I break out my tools differently than any toolbox/toolbar offered by Adobe. Yes, I know my hot keys but I still use the toolbar. Please put the ability to customize/hide/change tools I want and don't want. Or tell me what combination of things I need to do in order to have the toolbox/toolbar I need. For now, I'll just go back to the previous version.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of OS?
Also, I'd recommend resetting preferences. Please follow instructions below to do that:

For Windows

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Locations :
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
  •  Rename InDesign folders to InDesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from CC.

For MAC

  • Close all adobe applications
  • Go to Locations:
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Preferences
  • Rename Adobe InDesign and com.adobe.indesign to Adobe InDesign.old and com.adobe.indesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from the CC

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.

Once done, try rebuilding your workspace and see if you are able to do so. Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh
