InDesign 15.1.2 freezing up when opening on macOS 10.14.5

Hello, 

Every time I try to open InDesign 2020 on my Macbook, 15-in from 2018 (running macOS 10.14.15) , it just keeps freezing. I have tried everything from restarting Macbook or deleting recovery files or uninstalling and re-installing it. But nothing works. 

Please advise.

Try restoring your InDesign preferences:

It works! Thank you! I restored my preferences by holding shift+ctrl+option+cmd when I launced InDesign.
