InDesign 19 Beta Expired Can't Access InDesign Cloud File

I was using the Beta version of InDesign and my files were saved in the Creative Cloud. Now the Beta version says it's expired and everytime I try to download my file from a browser or the Creative Cloud program it times out or says it couldn't be downloaded but doesn't give a reason. I'm guessing it is because the file is too big to download. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello,

As many of us I can't reach my documents made via InDesign Beta with the message that Beta has expired, I tried to download them, to at least have them on InDesign but this doesn't seem to work either.
Do we have any information when this issue will be fixed ?

Have a good day, for my part part I am almost crying of despair.

Hello Inès,

I have the same problem, InDesign Beta does not open and a message saying that InDesign Beta has expired is poping.

I do understand that InDesign Beta was a "test part" but i had no warning about it from Adobe... I really thought that my online files were safe. But now nobody in my team can reach our files done with InDesign Beta. I cannot open them needer with the current version or downlaoding them.

It's a lot of work online that was there, so it will be nice if there is any solution for me to have my files back.

Thank you,

Alexia

As pointed out, this is on you, not Adobe. While I sympathize, you'll have to wait for a new beta to be released.

Help! My almost completed magazine was created on indesign (beta) and it saved to the cloud. This indesign version will no longer open, and even though I can see my file on the cloud, it will not open.

You learnt the hardway that beta softwares are meant for testing and not for use in production work and they do expire. I suppose the only option left now is to await another version of beta and when that happens save your document as an INDD file and work on a released version of the application.

For me, my computer was defaulting to the beta mode, and I couldn't even find my regular indesign. I have everything set to auto-update, so the beta was downloaded. I have since spoken to someone from Adobe, and it looks like my only option is to wait for a new version of the beta to come out, which will be 2-3 days. So I am praying for that. Apparently, they are having a lot of customers reaching out about this same issue.

That is why it always states that beta is for testing and not for production... Anyway, there is no way you can access those Cloud files from InDesign anymore...

Beta versions are for testing purposes and the trial only lasts for seven days. If you don't have a subscription to a full version of InDesign you will probably have to take out a subscription to access your InDesign documents.

I agree with @Derek Cross . I just tested and the Beta version of InDesign is again expired.

I suspect that they were experiencing some problems with the build posted this past week (problem reports were posted on this forum).

Beta versions are, as Derek says, only for testing.
