InDesign 2022 crashing during all sorts of actions

I'm using inDesign 2022 on two different Macs, the newest Macbook with M1 chip and a desktop from 2019. inDesign 2022 keeps crashing on both computers during all sorts of actions. For example, if I work on a page with a larger file (with full resolution), if I change an object's transparency?, if I jump to a different page by double clicking...

It's very frustrating.

Two different Macs - same issue

Sounds like a file problem

Where are the files stored? What do you mean '(with full resolution)'?

If a document is not behaving well then try

File>Export

Choose IDML

Open the IDML in InDesign
Save the file as a new InDesign file with a new name
See if the issue persists.
