InDesign 2022 files do not show in 2023

PC with Windows 10 Pro. I updated both desktops in our office to 2023 versions of the Suite programs I use. Working InDesign files are stored on Computer 1 and open fine on that computer. Computer 2 has access to most files through the network....all except the InDesign files. All other formats are visible and open fine (PDF, TIF, JPG, etc) but the Indesign files do not even show in the file list. I cannot even see the 2022 InDesign files in file explorer. I was able to make an .idml file on Computer 1 and that showed and opened on Computer 2 but I won't be able to do that for all my files.

As a test, I saved an InDesign file to a jump drive and I was able to see that file in the list and open it properly.

Any suggestions? Appreciate any help!

Oh my goodness...after trying so many different things...we finally got it to work. All we did was completely turn off the sharing for that folder and re-share it. Everything shows in the file list and opens properly. Thanks for the support! I appreciate the responsts.

So you say the InDesign 2022 files on computer 1 are not visible even to OS on computer 2? If so then isn't this something faulty at the OS/network level than InDesign?

Probably but I was hoping someone on an InDesign forum may have some suggestions...since it seems to be only the 2022 InDesign files and nothing else.

I would try restoring your preferences and caches in the InDesign 2023 version. Here's how:

Ok. I did the restart with deleting preferences. That didn't change anything.

I tried to rebuild the cache but the weird thing is...there's no roaming or local folders under User. In fact I can't find them anywhere. I even uninstalled InDesign, restarted, then installed and restarted again...still nothing. I searched high and low.
