Indesign 2022 + Monterey: open file, scroll to second page = crash

I have downloaded the latest version of Indesign. I'm on a brand new Macbook Air with M1 processor, and on Monterey. If I open Indesign, and open a file created in the *last* version of Indesign, and scroll to the second page, Indesign immediately crashes. I don't know if the crash reports generated are getting to Adobe. Is anyone else having this problem?

I got maybe something similar. Does it happen when your Macbook is connected to an external display? Try it on the MAcbook, without an external connection.

My problem (crazy Adobe hasn't fixed this in ONE Week - especially when they had access to Monterey for month): https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/unable-to-save-or-export-files-from-indesign-2022-17-0-on-macos-monterey/m-p/12482255

Wondered about that too. I do have an external monitor. But it crashes either way.

Just this file or any file? If just this one, export to .idml, open that and save as a new .indd.

1. Any file.

2. I tried that. When I opened the .indd, scrolled to page 2, and Indesign crashed.

Next step is reset the prefs. See Reset InDesign Preferences and Other Troubleshooting

Also, do you use any third party plugins? Try disabling or removing them and see if the problem clears up. You should also check if the problem persists in a new user account on the Mac.
