Indesign 2023 crashes after attempting to insert page

On a particular document, after attempting to insert a blank page, Indesign 2023 crashes, nothing listed in event viewer. Rolled back to 2022, no issue after converting the file. Tried uninstall/re-install, cleared all appdata, running as admin, no change.

 

Noticed this line in the bug report:

 

<crash exception="EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" exceptionCode="0xc0000005" instruction="0x00007FFB9DFE69B6">

 

Folder permissions are correct, no other lines in the bug report indicate an error/exception.

It may help the diagnosis if you also try exporting the file to .idml and open that in version 18, then try to add your page.

If it continues to crash it's not a problem withthe file so some other conflict or problem needs to be tracked down. If it works correctly with the .idml file your problem was document correuption and it's now fixed.

    We are sorry to hear that InDesign crashed while inserting a page. We would suggest you, please confirm the below points-

     

    • Do you have any graphic driver "Air Display (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) which was shown as a second graphic driver? If yes, please try disabling them and let us know if that helps.
    • Please ensure all the computer drivers are up to date.
    • Are you working on two screens?

    While submitting the crash report, please use the same email address with which you are signed in on this community. This will help us find the crash report and help accordingly.

    Unfortuately the air display is not listed, only intel Iris graphics.

     

    I went ahead and updated that, no change.
