InDesign 2023 Freezing in Digital Publishing Workspace.

Hm. I see one issue reported here in the forum with workspace problems regarding InDesign 2023 version 18.1:

Ah! So we could have something like a workspace corruption that is freezing InDesign?

Hm. Never experienced this. I would try to trash caches and preferences. That would remove all custom workspaces and also a defect one. If the error persists I would reinstall InDesign…

Hm. Could also be a new bug with InDesign 2023 version 18.1.

In that case go back to InDesign 18.0.

Another thing in case your document is the source of the issue:

Do a Save As with the document. If that does not help: Export to IDML and open the IDML file as document and save to a new name.

just guessing: Do you perhaps refer to the Fixed Layout EPUB Preview Panel?

That's not a preview tool for e.g. Publish Online. Just for Fixed Layout EPUBs.

I doubt it's the workspace, but you can create your own quite easily. Outside shot that it's corrupt prefs if every document is freezing with that workspace. If that's the case, go ahead and reset them.

Digital Publishing Suite was declared end-of-life in 2019, and has not been supported since then:

That means there is no guarantee that changes made in later InDesign versions like the current one (InDesign 2023) might not break it. So, frankly, you're on your own.
