InDesign 2024: Incredibly slow export of simple PDF documet

Hi there!

I'm pretty new on CCs (had CS6 for ages). I have a serious problem with the PDF export. It takes ages (10 minutes) to export 50 pages of text only document into a PDF. I'm on the newest Windows 11 and new i7 13th gen Intel with 16 GB of RAM. Could someone help me? Thank you.

    Thank you all! I've found the issue. There were QR codes in svg (generated by Adobe's own Adobe Express). As soon as I converted them to EPS, it was again a matter of fractions of seconds to generate the PDF.

      Sorry to hear about the trouble. In addition to the details asked by Robert, can you also share the version of InDesign & OS? Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files? Are you saving the file locally or on any network or shared drive?

        How big - in MB - is your file? 

         

        How long have you worked on it and how often have you been doing Save As with a new name - or just Ctrl+S?

         

        You could do IDMLing - export as IDML, open and then save with a new name. This will do a general "housekeeping" - maybe it will help.
