Hi John:

InDesign is not yet supported on Sonoma. Apple and Adobe don't synchronize their updates and Adobe is still working on the Sonoma support. We don't know what the holdup is but obviously it's a struggle since it's still not done yet.

If you can possibly roll back to Ventura 13.6, or 13.6.1, that would be ideal. You can leave InDesign 19/2024 installed, but I would also reinstall 18.5/2023 through the CC Desktop app. That's going to be the most stable environment right now.

For anyone else reading this thread — hold off updating Sonoma and InDesign 2024 until the issues get resolved.

That sounds like a good plan, John.

A lot of people have English as a second (or third or fourth or fifth language), so don't worry about how you ask a question. If we can't understand, we will ask you to clarify. You can always ask questions in your own language and we can use Google translate to figure it out. Whichever is easiest for you!

THis happend to me too.

This is what I did:

Add an empty folder to the "Plug-Ins" folder (shouldn't matter what the name is). try opening ID 2024.

If it opens, do not quit the app (it might revert to not opening again). If you do quit, and the app won't re-open, go into the "Plug-Ins" folder and delete the empty folder you previously created.

I gave up trying to do this and reverted back to ID 2023
