Hello @Letiziaaaa,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing crashes when trying to open your file.

To help us better understand the issue, could you please provide the following details:

  1. The version of InDesign you are using (2025 or another version).
  2. The operating system and its version.
  3. Is this issue occurring only with this specific file, or do other documents open fine in InDesign?
  4. In which version of InDesign was this file originally created?
  5. Where is the file stored-locally on your drive, a remote location, or a cloud storage service?
  6. Was this file opening fine before, or did the issue start happening recently? If it started recently, do you remember any changes made before the problem began?

Once we have more information, we can provide more targeted troubleshooting steps.

Looking forward to your response!

Best,

Hi,

1. I'm using 2025 InDesign

2. I have macOS Sequoia 15.0

3. The issue is only on that specific file

4. The version of the file is also 2025 InDesign

5. The file is the InDesign cloud

6. Yes, the file is openining file before and I haven't change nothing before the issue.

Thank you, for you help!

In addition to other suggestions:

What happens if you choose the "don't update" option when opening the file? Then try to update links manually one by one - will it work, and will there be a specific link that crashes InDesign while updating?
