Indesign 2025 crashes upon startup. Mac OS 13.0

This seems to be a bug. I've had this happen a few times. Uninstalling and re-installing fixes it for a while. Any solutions?

Hi @Paul_EH,

Thanks for reaching out! Could you please confirm the exact version of InDesign 2025 you're using? Also, I'd recommend trying the suggestion shared by Leo by updating your macOS to the latest version of Ventura and let us know if that helps.

It would also be helpful to know if the crash happens only with a particular file or on launch regardless of the file. I couldn't locate any crash reports submitted from your community email address, so when you get a moment, please submit one when the crash occurs and share the email address used via DM on the community, so we can check the logs on our end. In the meantime, I'd also suggest following the steps mentioned in this help article to troubleshoot crashes on launch: https://adobe.ly/3GNLBoD

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Abhishek

Thank you Abhishek! I'm running InDesign 2025 (20.3.1) on Ventura 13.0. There is no crash report, because it crashes upon app startup. It's not related to a particular file. When I uninstall the app and re-install it, it works fine for a few days.

Regards,
Paul

As you were already advised, update to the latest version of Ventura. You don't need to do anything else.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
