Question

InDesign 2025 images are pixelated

I am having problems with InDesign 2025 image display. I have inserted some jpegs and have the Display Performance High Quality Display selected. I have copied and pasted the exact same jpegs into 2024 InDesign and they display perfectly. I have exported the doc and in pdf form the images are fine.

What can I do? Can anyone help please?

I’m experiencing the same issue and haven’t found a solution yet. :S However, until Adobe fixes the problem, I’ve found a temporary workaround: If you go to View > Overprint Preview, all the images are displayed in high quality.

Hi @studiota

Apologies that you are facing this issue and thanks for sharing the workaround. To help you better, could you let me know the exact version of InDesign 2025 you're using? Also, please share your operating system details as well. Does this issue occur with just one specific file or are all your InDesign files showing pixelated images?

If possible, it would be great if you could share a screenshot showing the difference in image quality. And if you're okay with it, a sample INDD file would really help us test and troubleshoot further.

Looking forward to your reply!

Actually, it accours for every other project I have. when I open the same project on 2024 via IDML file, all the images are displayed in high quality.

"Display Performance High Quality Display" as a global setting or for this image?

The standard drop down menu - I always have my documents with high quality image display. I also just noticed the object size of the image is not displaying. I am thinking I might need to reload InDesign2025?

2025 is extremely buggy... Going back to 2024 is the most recommended solution right now.

And let me guess - you are a Mac user?
