InDesign 2026 keeps crashing

I run the latest InDesign on a Windows 11 PC. Over the past week, InDesign keeps crashing. Sometimes while working, but most times when I am saving. It also crashes if trying to save a IDML file or PDF.  I've tried reinstalling several times. I've gone in and scrubbed all the preference files off my hard drive. I've tested my drive to make sure it is working. I tried reinstalling an earlier version. Nothing seems to help. I thought it was working soundly for about an hour but then it crashed again. Every time I open the program up again, it tells me the file is damaged. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Got help from tech support last night. A Windows patch was causing the problem. Removed it and we've been running smoothly. I take back all the bad things I've said about Adobe lately.

If the same is happening with a previous version of InDesign then it seems something is wrong with your installation or computer setup. Does it crash randomly or it crashes while using some particular files? What is your OS?

Got help from tech support last night. A Windows patch was causing the problem. Removed it and we've been running smoothly. I take back all the bad things I've said about Adobe lately.
