InDesign 21.3 opens in touch mode and I cannot change it or access preferences

I’m running InDesign 21.3 but on program launch, it immediately boots into Touchscreen mode, and while I have a touchscreen laptop, the computer is docked all the time and I use my external monitors. I’ve tried undocking and opening the program but still can’t get out of the touchscreen mode.  I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled via Creative Cloud numerous times and tried to install older versions, all to no avail.  

My computer is managed by the company I work for, so access to some fixes isn’t available to me (i.e., using Device Manager to update touchscreen settings).  My IT dept. is completely stumped.  Any help would be appreciated.
