InDesign 21.4.1 has been crashing frequently

Since the update, InDesign 21.4.1has been crashing frequently while I’m working. Gradients often do not work, especially when I copy and paste elements from another file—something that worked perfectly before the update.

The cursor frequently indicates that something is loading, but nothing happens. InDesign then becomes unresponsive and cannot be closed normally, so every time I have to force-close it through Task Manager and restart it, sometimes several times.

I’m very disappointed with this update. I’m not working on particularly large or complex files, yet InDesign still crashes repeatedly in the middle of my projects.
