Why am I having to onstantly reboot my Mac to enable Indesign to open my files?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Is it like, InDesign is crashing right after launch or on opening the file? Is it getting stuck or is it quits? If it's crashing, you can try the suggestions shared here. Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

Try to reset preferences: quit InDesign and relaunch it while holding down the Shift, Ctrl, Alt and Cmd keys. Keep the keys down until you see a warning message asking for confirmation.
