Hi, I'm having a stange problem. When using a specific font: Lota Grotesque in all caps, some characters gets displayed upside down. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

OS: macOS 10.15.2

Indesign: 15.0.1

If the problem goes away with any other (more common/standard) fonts, it's a font issue. You would have to use the Glyphs panel to map the faulty characters to correct ones (e.g. find the right-side-up capital A and manually replace an inverted one), but that means your text string is likely gibberish in every other sense. Maybe this font should just be avoided.

Yup, just a matter of using the glyphs panel. Switching our company's typeface isn't an option! Thanks.

Hi,

looks like there are any rules triggered that are perhaps for the Spanish language.

The rotated question mark at the beginning of a sentence. Or the rotated exclamation mark.

Only that it happens to you in the middle of some text and without using Spanish as language.

I've have language set to Swedish but have also tried other with the same issue. Is there any other setting that could affect this?

It's correct that it doesn't matter where, for example the question mark is. The same issue occures when I have only one question mark in a text frame.

I have contacted fonts.com where I bought the font to see if there is an know issue with the font it self.

Sounds more like a font problem than an InDesign problem but without seeing it's impossible to tell.

I know. That or a language setting, which I have checked.

However, using the same font i Apple Pages for example, the issue doesn't occur.
